What is Peculiar Peach?
A space for neurodivergent people. Not a clinic, not a support group, not a place that's going to tell you you're broken.
Peculiar is not an insult.
We reclaimed it.
A lot of us were called "peculiar" — or weird, difficult, too much, not enough — before anyone figured out our brains just work differently. Peculiar Peach takes that word back.
This site exists because neurodivergent people deserve resources that don't condescend, communities that don't require masking, and a place where "I do that too" is the most common response.
We're not a medical practice. We're not going to diagnose you. We're a corner of the internet that gets it.
What we are
-
A curated resource hub for ADHD, autistic, AuDHD, dyslexic, and neurodivergent people
-
An honest, irreverent space that doesn't talk down to you or pathologize your existence
-
A glossary of terms explained in plain language, not DSM-speak
-
A place for articles about the actual experience of living in a neurodivergent brain
-
A shop full of merch that says the quiet part loud
What we're not
-
A medical practice — we can't diagnose, prescribe, or replace your clinician
-
A crisis line — if you're in crisis, please use these resources
-
A place that thinks neurodivergence needs to be fixed, cured, or managed into invisibility
Our operating principles
Nothing fancy. Just the things we think matter.
Nothing about us without us
Content about neurodivergent people should be written with neurodivergent people in mind — not for concerned parents or skeptical employers.
Short, direct, no fluff
We write for brains that don't have time for five paragraphs before the actual point. If it can be said in fewer words, it will be.
Identity-affirming
We follow the community's lead on language. We default to identity-first language ("autistic person") while respecting individual preferences.
Honest about what we don't know
We're not experts. We'll say so. We'll point you to people who are. We update content when we get things wrong.
Irreverence is a feature
The clinical world takes itself very seriously. We don't, always. Humor is a coping mechanism, a communication style, and honestly just more fun.
Always learning
Research evolves. Language evolves. Community understanding evolves. We try to keep up.
Have something to say?
Suggestions, corrections, resource ideas, design requests, or just want to say hi — we read everything.
